My husband & I have been intermittent fasting for over 3 years together. It’s not a diet, it’s a lifestyle that can provide many benefits like slowing down the aging process, reducing inflammation, helps with the digestion & increases your energy. We personally practice the 16/8 which means we fast for 16 hours and eat for an 8 hour period during the day. It took me about 4 months to get up to fasting for 16 hours! It doesn’t happen overnight & the best advice I have for people getting started is to start slow! Push your breakfast back 30 minutes every week until you make it to your goal! My body now usually begins to feel hungry anywhere from 11 AM – 1 PM, when the hunger cues begin is when I begin consuming food. For this breakfast, I am sharing one of my favorite YOGI BOWLS👇🏼
• 2 of my vegan protein gingerbread muffins (warmed up) – this recipe is in my feed 2 posts back!
• spoon of @siggisdairy plain full fat yogurt
• fresh blueberries
• @soomfoods tahini
• @manitobaharvest hemp seeds
• 1 brazil nut (cuz that has all of the selenium your body needs in a day)
