GUT HEALTH UPDATE (plus black forest smoothie recipe below)
Many of you may know that I have been searching on how to heal my gut issues for 18 months. After 8 months I realized my gut health was directly associated to stress. The higher my stress, the more stomach issues I had. 3 months ago I took an at-home microbiome test by @onegevity to test my actual gut diversity & if I have any pathogens. Results are in, I’ve spoken to a specialist & I have been given recommendations on how to improve my personal gut health. In simple terms, I need to change the environment of my gut to crowd out the bad bugs that may be creating this havoc in times of stress. The more I feed the good bugs, the less my stomach will tense up when my body does have anxiety & stress. It will also help prevent mood swings (which I fo sho need help with). BLACK FOREST SMOOTHIE ➡️ 2 scoops @drinkorgain vegan choc protein + 1/4 scoop @detoxorganics chocolate superfood powder (optional) + 1T cacao powder + 1/2C frozen cherries + handful of spinach + almond milk + 1T flax/chia/hemp seeds + the prebiotic supplements mentioned above. For a sweeter smoothie, add a pitted date. For a thicker smoothie add more ice & less liquid. Blend & enjoy!
