Do you want to eat healthy but don’t have the💰to do so? It requires a tiny bit of planning & prep from home but it’s completely do-able! I used what I had in my pantry & supplemented with one thing I bought at the airport. Price? $2.09 total. Here are my helpful tips👇🏼
.
✔️Buy an oatmeal (ask for hot water vs. steamed milk) – usually around $2
✔️Bring chia seeds, hemp seeds or flaxseeds in a little baggy to mix into your oatmeal. The extra fat will help keep you full & even give you some protein.
✔️If you have any superfood powders, bring em with you! This could be anything from protein powder, collagen, cacao, adaptogens etc. It will add some additional nutrients & help keep your body balanced.
✔️Add crunchy elements into the oats, this purchase of oats came even came with dried fruit + nuts but I had brought my own in case! Try any types of nuts, seeds or even granola.
✔️Pair it with fruit! We all have fruit laying around at home, just throw one in your bag to either eat on the side to mix in (it even adds sweetness).
✔️Ask for a cup of hot water. It’s completely free! Bring your own tea bag & you can even use their honey or stevia to add some zing!
.
What’s in my meal (by the way, this was my dinner) 👉🏼 @starbucks oatmeal + 1/2 scoop of @bareorganicssuperfoods mushroom immunity blend + 1 packet of @salbachia seeds mixed together. Topped the oats with nuts + dried fruit + @kitchfix grain free paleo granola for more crunch. On the side I had @sunandswellfoods nut mix + green apple + @traderjoes ginger turmeric tea with honey.
